In 2016, deep in a suburban Sydney garage, we launched our first product: a reliable filament, spooled on a refillable filament spool. Like many creators, we were obsessed with 3D printing as a production method. But one night, as we pushed toward a deadline, our filament snapped mid-print.
Time wasted. Material wasted. Potential wasted. It wasn’t just frustration—it was a breaking point.
We were designers, makers, problem-solvers — but in that moment, we felt powerless, betrayed by the very tools we relied on. Looking at the market, the choices were grim:
That night, we made a decision: if the right tools didn’t exist, we’d build them.

So, we went back to first principles. Months of polymer science research, desiccation testing, and sleepless nights on factory floors led us to our first breakthrough: our own filament, engineered for reliability, paired with the ECO Spool—a fully reusable, waste-reducing filament system.
When early adopters—print farms, engineers, and professionals—put it to the test, they validated what we already knew: there was a better way to 3D print.
