Blackbelt 3D - Design Competition
To celebrate the Australian Launch of Blackbelt 3D, Standard Print Co. and MCIC are giving 5 members of the maker community the opportunity to be the first in the country to have their designs brought to life on the Blackbelt 3D Printer - in full size.
The Brief - Think Big, Print Big
Design a product, artwork or model that best utilises one or all of the key features of the Blackbelt 3D Printer.
Large Format Printing
Print large parts whole thanks to BLACKBELT’s innovate conveyor belt printing system and mammoth 340mm x 340mm x ∞ mm build volume.
Parts automatically removed from build surface allowing for continuous production, bridging the gap between prototyping and full series production.
Support Free Printing
Printing gantry can be set to 15°, 25°, 35°, 45° angles, unlocking the ability for support free printing and reducing the possibility of intricate prints being damaged during support removal.
The 5 successful applicants will have their winning printed in full size on the Blackbelt 3D Printer.
Their designs showcased on the night in front of industry professionals, students, staff and members of the 3D printing community.
Winners will have the opportunity to take their designs and prints home with them at the end of the night.
